SIUT kicked off the new year with the grand opening of the "Student Innovation Hub," a multi-purpose facility designed to foster creativity and entrepreneurship.
Located in the heart of the campus, the Hub features co-working spaces, a rapid prototyping lab with 3D printers and laser cutters, and a dedicated pitching arena for student startups.
From Idea to Reality
The facility is open 24/7 to all students. "We wanted to create a space where students from different disciplines could collide and collaborate," said University Architect Maria Kovac. "Here, an engineering student can meet a business student and start the next big tech company."
The Hub will also host weekly mentorship sessions with local business leaders and venture capitalists.
