Celebrations reached new heights this week as SIUT hosted its largest-ever International Cultural Day, welcoming over 3,000 visitors to the Novi Sad campus.
With the student body now representing over 65 nations, the 2025 festival was a vibrant tapestry of global traditions. The theme, "Connecting Continents," highlighted the university's expanding global footprint.
The "World Food Street" extended across the entire central quad, featuring culinary delights from the newly formed Student Associations of Kenya, Vietnam, and Peru.
"The flavors this year are incredible," noted Student Union President Stefan Ilic. "It's not just about food; it's about the stories shared over a meal. We are truly becoming a global family."
The main stage featured a collaborative fusion performance, mixing Balkan brass bands with Latin American percussion—a symbolic representation of the cross-cultural friendships formed at SIUT.
The event also launched the "Global Arts Scholarship," a new initiative funded by alumni to support students excelling in both creative arts and engineering.
